Easter Weekend in Leavenworth - A New Tradition
The last time we went to Leavenworth was Easter 2 years ago when Sebastian was 1 1/2 years old. We had such a great time, we decided to head back this year with our new family of four. We stayed at The Bavarian Lodge - a Bavarian-themed lodge overlooking the picturesque town of Leavenworth.
Saturday morning we hid a few eggs around the hotel room for Sebastian to find, and Emmett to play with. Later, we took the kids to Smallwood’s Harvest for their annual Easter Egg Hunt where the kids we able to meet the Easter bunny, gather eggs, jump in the bouncy castle, pan for gold, and pet the animals at the petting zoo. After, we returned to Leavenworth for some shopping and patio beers at Icicle Brewing.
Sunday morning we packed up our stuff and headed to the Sleeping Lady Resort for an Easter buffet brunch. It was probably one of the best buffet brunch spreads I have ever seen. After brunch, we walked around the grounds looking for a golden egg, which we later found. The kids were able to meet the Easter bunny a second time. What a treat!
