If you're anything like me, then you are probably spending a great deal of time marathon baking waaayyyyy too many Christmas cookies, (when you're not too busy sniffling, sneezing, coughing, and whining about all of your pains and ailments). What would the holidays be without an excessive amount of sugar and someone you know getting sick and spreading it to everyone in close contact (thanks, babe, I appreciate this special gift you gave me, so much so, I have now given to everyone in the house, and you really haven't seen anything, until you see a baby with a cold who lacks the dexterity to blow their own nose ). Before I start yammering on about all of my pains and aches, I am just going to leave you with a roundup of my favorite Holiday cookies and slip away quietly. If you choose to make only one cookie recipe this year (because you have way more exciting things to do than spend hours in the kitchen baking - I love you and envy you), the mint chocolate Nanaimo bars are perfect.
